Breathing Meditation
Hatha Yoga uses breathing exercises, pranayama, to awaken prana the vital, life-sustaining force. By practicing pranayama, you can tap the vast power within the breath and use it for self-healing and to heal others. You can collect & store pranic energy in your solar Plexus (the pranic storage battery) by practicing pranayama. This breathing method involves alternate breathing through each nostril. -
Breath in through left nostril only for 4 seconds -
Keep both nostrils closed for 4 seconds -
Breath out through the right nostril for only 4 seconds -
Breath in through right nostril only for 4 seconds -
Keep both nostrils closed for 4 seconds -
Breath out through left nostril for only 4 seconds
